Polychlorinated (14–16 Cl atoms) · Bluish green
Pigment Green 7
Polychlorinated Copper Phthalocyanine
CAS 1328-53-6
Produced by chlorination of copper phthalocyanine, PG 7 is the dominant high-performance green pigment for industrial applications. The introduction of 14–16 chlorine atoms per molecule shifts the absorption spectrum from blue to a bright, clean bluish green. PG 7 offers exceptional lightfastness, weatherfastness, and chemical resistance — comparable to the best PB 15 grades — with the added benefit of outstanding heat stability in plastics applications.
